The vacancy is for our newly open service in Bradford for clients with learning disability and complex care needs, where people we support are at the forefront of this mission.
The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Service Manager to join our team in Bradford. This role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring that our team delivers high-quality care and support, which is in line with the company's values and standards. The successful candidate will be passionate about person-centered care, have strong leadership skills, and be committed to fostering a supportive and motivating environment for both the people we support and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management: Lead, support, and manage the team working in service to deliver high-quality care.
- Service Delivery: Ensure the smooth running of daily operations, collaborating closely with staff and the people we support to maintain an excellent standard of care in supported living settings.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop staff members through regular supervisions, training, and performance reviews.
- Compliance: Ensure all care provided is in line with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Communication: Attend MDT meetings and foster strong relationships with internal teams, the people we support, families, and external agencies.
- Behaviour Management: Develop and implement strategies to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
Essential Skills & Experience
Applicants must possess:
- A background in learning disability supported living
- Proven ability to manage a service.
- A history of working with individuals diagnosed with learning disability and complex care.
- Competence in attending MDT meetings and comprehending the discussions effectively.
- Familiarity with managing challenging behavior.
- Strong time management skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules.
- Advanced IT skills.
- Qualified to Level 3 (or higher) in Health and Social Care, or any equivalent qualification.
